Yup, I'm one of those physical media people

The main purpose of this thing is to show what I got.
Originally, I had a blurb about all of these, but around November of 2025, I received a huge box of like, 72 CD albums... I don't have it in me to write so much about all of them, but you can check my first impressions of those here.

Maybe I'll also include a section for music I like, and that I'd like for you to listen to... though that doesn't make as much sense for this new layout...

If you have any recommendations or wanna show me your collection, please contact me, I want to see.

You may see these symbols next to the images:

  • - For music I actively recommend you listen to.
  • - For ones I have something to say about, either carried from the old layout or new. Hover or tap to see!
  • - For bootleg or pirate media.
  • - For media without a case or sleeve.

Argentine Rock.
Compilation. Gifted by a beloved friend.
Not on any streaming services I can think of.
The song selection is good, but it has none of my personal faves, sadly.

Obras cumbres
Divididos

(2013)
CD

(from the previous layout)
Argentine Ska (not sure what kind).
It hasn't been in production in decades. I found it by pure freak chance, for much cheaper than it usually goes for.

Los Intocables
Los Intocables

(1987)
CD

(from the previous layout)
Argentine Ska-Jazz.
First album by this band. I actually have a French reprint from 2002. The only difference is in the cover.

Subterrannia
Satélite Kingston

(2000)
CD

(from the previous layout)
British 2-Tone Ska.
Compilation.
I literally walked into a record store and bought the first checkerboard thing I saw. I had never heard of The Selecter before, and I really like them!

Greatest Hits
The Selecter

(1996)
CD

(from the previous layout)
Spanish Ska-Punk (very self-explanatory)
Compilation. Kinda strange selection. Has some faves.
The CD itself seems to be much more sensitive to smudges. It's the only one that stutters and skips in my CD player, even though there's definitely dirtier discs.

Todo Ska-P

Chilean art experiment.
This CD is a set of musicalised fragments of real phone calls made to a public phone number set up by the Kurvo art group.
The zine it comes in includes a short statement about the project, a few photographs, and some paintings.
Lovely stuff.

Vol 12-Laboratorio Telefónico

CD-R + Zine

(from the previous layout)
Argentine Rock, Pop, New Wave.
Compilation. The selection here is fantastic. As the name says, it's a collection of their greatest hits. There's some I would've included that aren't here, but it has pretty much everything I'd show to someone I was trying to get into Virus.

Grandes Éxitos

Blues.
Compilation. My grandma gave this CD and the one below as a gift, cus she knows I like blues. I hadn't listened to either of them before but they're really good! The case on this one was a lil busted, so I replaced the broken part.

Blue Eyed Blues
The Yardbirds

(1995)
CD

(from the previous layout)
Also Blues.
Compilation. I think I like this one a little bit more. Looking into both of these, seems like they were released in Brazil and Europe in the mid-90s? There's a bunch of them.

The Texas Tornado
Johnny Winter

(1996)
CD

(from the previous layout)
Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae.
I bought this at a show I watched them play at. I love the way they sound, it's chill but not too much, lovely to listen to no matter what I'm doing.

The copy I bought didn't work, but the band was kind enough to give me another copy. Super cool of them :3

Modo Primate
Los Casettes

(2022)
CD-R

(from the previous layout)
As a test run for my bootleg creating capabilities, I downloaded the UNDERTALE soundtrack (bought on Bandcamp), re-created the official art to fit into a one CD jewel case (the cover booklet with the song list inside, the back of the case, the spines, and the CD label), burned all of it (101 tracks in mp3 form) onto the CD, and put it all together. I am very proud of myself, and it only took one failed CD.

Lounge, Turkish Classical Music (I really have no clue, so I'm going by whatever rateyourmusic says).
This one's also from my grandma's catalogue. It's pretty fucking good, particularly "Rivers of Belief".
Not something I'd usually go out of my way to listen to, but still glad I have it!

Re-Formation
Hasan Cihat Örter

(1996)
CD

(from the previous layout)
Good ol' rock and/or roll
This was a gift from my dad, he likes the Rolling Stones a lot. I don't know much about the band, but I do like what I hear whenever I play their music!
Plus, I know this album has some songs that are very meaningful to my dad, which is pretty cool! I like that aspect of connecting with people.

Steel Wheels
The Rolling Stones

(1989)
CD

(from the previous layout)
A little Cumbia, a little Punk, a little Reggae, a little everything
This is a fucking fantastic album. It's so varied it never gets old, really. It's also pretty political, which I like in music, but mainly it's that it sounds incredible from beginning to end.

Perfectos Idiotas
Karamelo Santo

(1997)
CD

(from the previous layout)
All sorts of Ska
I bought this via Bandcamp, and the price of the disc itself plus the international shipping now make this the most expensive CD I own lol

But I don't love this because of the price, I love this because it might actually be my favorite album in all of 2025.
It's wall to wall bangers, Ska-Punk, 2-Tone, fusion with Midwestern Emo, Ska-Core, INSANE SHIT. But what really pushes this into "greatest album" category for me is that the songs themselves tell a really nice emotional story that feels pretty relevant to life and this dog gone earth.

Death of the Heart
JER

(2025)
CD

(from the previous layout)
The most mysterious item...
It seems to be a collection of kids' songs packaged in the cover of a My Chemical Romance album (Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, I think).
Also gifted by a beloved friend.
As we don't own a record player (yet), I can't say if they're good or not.
