Viudas Negras, P*tas y Chorras (2025)
(Black Widows, Wh*res and Crooks)

The protagonists are Maru (left) and Mica (right), two women in their late 30s or early 40s who used to be black widows, women who'd date/fuck rich men so that they could drug and rob them. They've both left that life behind them, one of them opened a salon and the other became a high class and status wealthy woman living in a gated community. It's been 13 years since their last job, but circumstances have forced them to get back together. I won't say much more about the plot because part of the fun is watching it unravel.
Like many other Argentinian comedies, Viudas Negras' characters act a bit more like exaggerated archetypes than like realistic people. It's not for everyone, but it's a style that can be very funny if it manages to bring you to its level, which I think this show does excellently. They're just exaggerated enough to not be too out of palce when they do something crazy, but not to the point where you stop caring about them as people. There's a lot of "ooo, this is who this person REALLY is underneath all the bullshit", used for both character development AND laughs, almost no character is what they seem at first.
Since I'm writing in English, I will clarify there's a bunch of jokes about Argentinian culture in particular. There's a side-plot about Maru's rich friends that has some very funny jokes and references that you might not get if you don't have an analogue for the kind of rich people we have. I also could not find good subtitles, so you're kinda fucked if you can't understand Spanish either way lol
Towards the end, there are a few small things that feel a bit ass-pull-y, but other than that, I don't have any complaints about the show. It's fucking histerical, definitely watch it if you can.
